The summer is nearly over, which means in Wisconsin, it is time for cattle calling, cream puff eating contests and deep-fried EVERYTHING!  Fun can be had by all at the Wisconsin State Fair. 

The Fair runs from August 5-15th and tickets run $9 for adults, $6 for seniors and $4 for children.  Compared to Summerfest ticket prices, these tickets are a steal!

What is new this year?

• $20,000 Custom “Rockin Remodel”  Enter for a chance to win 20,000 bucharoos worth of home remodeling options
• Dog Diving- man’s best friend will be the focus, participants must pre-register online.  Watching Fido is guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s face
• Champions Challenge event at the Coliseum.  Bring the entire family down to witness the magnificence and grace of horses and their riders.
• Days of the Dinosaur.  Travel back 250 million years ago for $1 and see dozens of life-sized, state of the art, animatronic dinos!
• Whether you are an amateur or seasoned professional dog groomer, you can enter the first ever Dog Grooming Challenge…this isn’t exactly for me and I am unsure if there is a prize to win.
• Jack’s Pizza Comet II.  Nope, unfortunately this isn’t deep-fried pizza but it is the world’ largest mobile roller coaster.  Attempt to ride this 60 foot high coaster but fair warning, eat your pizza AFTER you ride the Comet.

Now that the entire duration of the NBA Finals is officially over, the Lakers have been crowned League Champions for the fourteenth time and there is no future basketball in sight…..are you feeling a little depressed??

Well, don’t fret…Scion Dental can give you your fix.  The 2010 Scion Dental Milwaukee Pro-Am Summer League will begin July 10, 2010 at Homestead High school in Mequon, WI, and finish up with a one day tournament at The Al McGuire Center at Marquette University on August 8th.

The league is certified by the NCAA for Division I competition, and will feature many of the top current players from Division I schools.

In addition, many of the top players from our area Division II and Division III schools will also participate, as well as several players with ties to the Milwaukee basketball community who have either completed their eligibility or are returning to the area from playing professionally in the NBA or Europe.

Craig and Wendy Kasten unveiled a plaque at the Marquette Hall of Fame ceremony in honor of Wade. Kasten is a Distinguished Alumnus (2005) from the Marquette University School of Business Administration. Wade is a former employee of Kasten during his time at Marquette.

My fav’s are Smyth at the Iron Horse hotel, and Eddie Martini’s in Tosa. Next on the list: Sanfords. Maybe we can sample it on your next visit to Scion.

In addition to providing a more detailed company overview of Scion, these videos have been quite useful for users in the Scion web community. Users in dental offices in new markets we enter have gained valuable instruction in using the Scion web tools. Providers have gained insight on how to check member eligibility for their patients and submit claims online….all steps towards promoting Scion’s vision of a paperless insurance company.
